How to hide relationship status on fb?

I am just about to change my relationship status on facebook from ''single'' to ''in a relationship'' and i dont want it to show on my mum's or brother's news feed! haha! also, even if it doesnt come up on their news feed, if they go on my timeline, how do i hide it from them in particular on my Info?

first, put your mother and brother in a group. call it: DANGER. call it whatever you want. then in your about click the little logo next to in a relationship. select custom. then for the visible put friends and for the hide put DANGER (or whatever you called the group). done.
to prove this the click view as on your timeline (button is below cover photo)

Go to your profile. Click on you basic information. click edit. go to the world with an arrow next to it and u put specifically who can and can't see your relationship status.
