ready accessibility to extremely deviant porno, anonymous communications instantly, no sales tax.... how has it hurt us in your opinion, or has it?

The gains far outweigh the losses, so it feels kinda pointless to me to find damages that are miniscule compared to the benefits. =\

In my opinion the internet is a wonder program! it lets you communicate with people around the world. It makes buying items much easier, and cheaper. People have found fame through the internet. The endless opportunities!! I think it has enriched our society. And made the world a better place!!!

Although i agree with your statement. I'm not sure if 'damaged' is the word I would use. Only because along with all the 'damage' it's caused... it has also allowed us to obtain 'easy' access of information., communication with loved ones., up-to-date on current events [around the world] etc.

The internet. ( along with technology in general ) Has become a source of constant information. The answers are literally at our fingertips.

I agree that it's damaging to society., especially to the 'newer' generation. Constant dependency on the internet is what we are repeatedly seeing. Instead of reading a book., or going outside to enjoy the fresh air and participate in psychical activity 'we' are chatting on FB, msn or twitter., checking out the latest videos on youtube. etc.

Along with this is the easier access to porn for minors., not to mention that if we aren't careful our 'privacy' may be disrupted by 'outsiders'. Everything is simple & easy.

And although it seems like a great & positive thing to have things and info available to you when you want it.. is it really all that great. Their are many more consequences to the internet than their are benefits. We simply allow all this change to happen.. so that we are able to make our lives just a little more easier.. We've become the "Laziest" generation to ever exist.. and i have no doubt it will get worse.

I think it will get worse as the 'newer' generation[s] grow up. Because dependancy to the internet and technological 'gadgets' will continue to increase.
