How is it possible to attend to a shooting of a TV Show shooting in LA studios ?
I am going to LA in october and I'd like to see a shooting of How I Met Your Mother for example. How is it possible to do such a thing ? Should I book my place ? Do I have to pay for this ?

Is there a website to see the available seats ?

Thx for your answers.
Additional information : I mean TV Shows as series, such as How I Met Your Mother etc. , not so much real tv (Big Brother, X Factor) but thx for the answer though

You can get free tickets at audiencesunlimited.com, tvtix.com, or see the booth at Universal City walk. It's very interesting to see a show being taped. The most popular, by far, is the Tonight show.

I've had very good luck with getting tickets from On Camera Audiences. I've seen X-Factor (twice), Big Brother, Hole in the Wall, Hall of Game Awards, Biggest Loser, and actually turned down a number of other shows that filmed midweek in the evening (like Idol and SYTYCD). Friend them on Facebook, and you can get in on the action, or go to http://www.ocatv.com/

Audiences Unlimited distributes tickets for most of the major sitcoms and is fully sanctioned by production companies and networks. Some networks refer all ticket requests to Audiences Unlimited.
TV Tix distribute the tickets for the talk shows and game shows.

All tickets to TV tapings are free.

Sorry. "How I Met Your Mother" does not film in front of a live audience. The audience sounds you hear during the program is from a prerecorded "laugh track" that is added during post production.

The websites listed by others will list all the television programs that do have a live audience.
