Is It Possible To Enter Contests and Sweepstakes As A Living?
My brother has substantial luck in winning radio contests, and entering things on Facebook. Even an autographed guitar signed by Trapt!
My question is, are there people out there that enter contests as a full-time job, and are able to live off their plunder?
Bonus points to anyone who can find a documentary or something to back up their answer.

Is it possible? Certainly. Applying for a massive number of giveaways so that the expected payoff is substantial sounds good but I don't know how many you have to do to make that happen. If, for example, 10,000 people enter a contest for a $15,000 car then each entry is worth about $0.66 on average. If a person filled out 50,000 of similar worth entries, the expected winnings would be $33,000 of winnings a year. If the average time to sign and fill out the entry was 2 min, it would take 32 hours of filling out entries a week to win that amount.

The real issue is finding that many entries with that good of odds but it seems doable. Luck wouldn't come into play averaged out over several years and hundreds of thousands of entries. Here is a website about it: http://www.ehow.com/how_4676780_living-w...takes.html

While it's not exactly what you're looking for, Magnets.com is running a promo for a free $150 Target gift card. Worth a look.

It is great that he has such a luck but I don't think that he want to rely on this as a living. Luck doesn't stick with someone forever. It is great if he continue participating but not rely on it for a living

Yes, it's a very popular way of life. There are people who enter 100 contests a day every single day, and win up to 80k in prizes a year.
