A lot of kids want myspaces or facebooks. What website are you suppose to tell them to get onto?

It is generally assumed that under-13's are too young to grasp the concept of social networking.
MySpace and Facebook are social networking sites. Twitter is a social messaging site. |

My sisters are on Club Penguin. It's sort of similar, because you can chat and send messages, and decorate your home and stuff. It's also great for kids, because of all the mini games and that kind of thing. There is no way for people to find out the real name or location of your child, unless the child tells them, which leads to them being banned for a bit. The site is heavily moderated, users are banned for hate speech and trying to find out and giving personal information. The other good thing is that photos and can't be uploaded, so you know your child won't accidentally come across any dodgy material. Basic membership is free, although you can pay to unlock more games, places, clothes etc.
