Does being signed into BBM,Twitter,Hotmail and such take data when im not using it?
I mean like im signed into all these things but if im not using it but its still signed in would it still use up data?

You may not use, but they may by themselves.
Your application actually does sync with server all the time., for new updates/posts or anything.
So until you have blocked internet or killed those apps there are chances of them to use data.
