Software for Identifying People in Photographs?

How the dickens would the software know who they are? There is software for face recognition, but it needs to be told who they are and then it can pick them out from other images. But it's only as good as the time you spend on building up the database, if that face is not in the database it doesn't know.

Not unless you have a magic computer that knows people's names!!!

Google Picasa 3 has face recognition, but it can't tell you their names, unless you tell it who they are.
