Was this an appropriate way to send condolences?
An old friend of mine has a sister who's in the hospital. I don't know why because she didn't say. Anyway, on facebook, I replied to her that I felt sorry for her and hope her sister's gonna be okay. Was this an appropriate way to send condolences? I know it's better to send cards, but I don't have her address.
No, I take that back. I meant that I replied to my friend that I hope her sister's gonna be okay.

nooo--- u NEVER say i feel sorry for u!! thats pity!! when someones in trouble, the last thing that they want is pity. all u need to do is say that ull always b there for her if she'd like to talk about it.

Yeah, I would think so. It lets her know that you're aware of what's happening, and that you feel remorse for what did happen. And since you don't have her address, then what more can you do?

It's the thought that matters. I think it's okay.
