Why do people do hash tags on facebook?
Facebook isn't twitter. What's the point?

They probably just assume it will have the same action on Facebook as well as Twitter

They don't. They post on Twitter and they have linked their Twitter accounts to their Facebook accounts so the post goes there also. The post originates on Twitter so you see the hashtag.

They have Twitter and Facebook connected so, whatever they tweet about gets posted on facebook
