and what do you intend to tweet about ?

People generally follow Twitter people
- to chat to friends
- people who talk about similar things (eg a sport, or arts group etc)
- famous people or others they admire and want to see what they are doing.

so I would start by following people that you want to, (from hashtags you see around)
and they can follow you back - that way you all see both sides of the conversation.

It is not a game of getting followers - unless you have something to say
- are you publishing something every day ?
or about something special ?
if not, build it up slowly from your own interests, it will be more meaningful
