I don't know about twitter.
But facebook .
Go to privacy settings and click customise settings.

For Facebook: Go to Account, Privacy Settings, Click on Custom Setting and the option on "Things I Share" should be a link saying "Edit Album Privacy" and it should send you to another page. Move down to Customize; Then make it visible to "Only Me".


As for Twitter, you can't, sorry :[
