How do I tell my parents about my boyfriend?

How do I tell my parents about my boyfriend?
We just started dating wednesday.
When he asked me out, I was on a beach trip witha close friend of mine. And just got back.
How do I tell my parents?
Not even parents, just my mom.
My mom even told me to never tell my dad. He'd immediately disapprove of it, or something along those lines.
My friend said just change your facebook status, but that ruins the plan of not telling my dad.
Help please? thanks!

Go to your mom when your Dad isn't around and say "Hey, I thought you'd like to know that I got a boyfriend when I was on the trip! His name is ____."
Another option is messaging your mom on FB about it or texting her.
(Btw, block your father or at least limit what he can see.)

I always found it awkward trying to tell my mom ( i only live with one parent ) that i had a boyfriend. But to let her know the first time i started dating a guy i just kept saying " i'm going to hang out with so and so" until she finally asked if we were dating and then obvi. i said yes. After that when ever i would get a boyfriend i would just tell her when i was going out and would be like" i'm going out with my boyfriend, ok, bye." my friend when she had to tell her mom she just said " a guy asked me out, and i said yes" it's awkward but only for a minute. i hope these help.
