How can you tell if a man is hurt by a break up?

Hi. I noticed that ultimately, women are far more open with showing their feelings after a break up. (Most of the time.) They are the ones you generally see crying and putting depressing statuses on Facebook. My question is, how can you tell if a male is hurt by a break up, and how much? Especially if he closes up a lot and is not too open with his emotions. Thank you for any answers!

- Well Girls feelings are more out there we aint scared to update fb saying "screw love" && stuff , Giuys probably dont think its man to tell people what there feelings, were not guys so we dont know . but if i had to question they're act a little bit different round you , stare in to space, They prob. wont cry or anything like that, but if they relationship was deep they probably will when there along, I hope i Helped (:

in your case you can't and in most cases you won't know. Men hide their emotions far more than women. It doesn't necessarily mean that he isn't hurt, they just handle their emotions different than women. We get stuck in the heartache where as men move on by replacing or ignoring their emotions. I am starting to believe men are created that way.
