What is the deal with this and my ex boyfriend?

I was feeling a little angry with my ex boyfriend and ended up deleting him off Facebook. Even after we agreed to still remain friends.

I cave a couple of weeks later and ask how things are. Out of curiosity and he gives me a short one sentence reply.

I am not sure if he has noticed I have deleted him off there. It would explain his shortness with me though... Possibly.

Leave him alone. Give him space. Even if you want to be friends again in the future, it sure isn't gonna happen now. All you're going to end up doing right now is fight, no matter how hard you try.

If you really do care about this guy's friendship, give him space. And if you don't, then you're well rid of him.

I think there are two things going on, here. First, your boyfriend is coming under the influence of a cult. I can"t see which one, exactly, but it is closely associated with the Moonies and Our Lady of Perpetual Sorrow. The second point, and this is coming to me very strongly, although he doesn't know it yet, your boyfriend is a homosexual.
