How long will it take for a reported account (for someone under 13) to be deleted on facebook?
We just made a request through the privacy and safety issues of facebook for an account to be deleted, long story short my bf has custody of his 2 kids and on a weekend with their Mother, she allowed the 9 year old to sign up for a facebook, she claims she didnt and his daughter refuses to give up her password to erase it so I went on an sent the form to have it reported and erased, just wondered roughly how long it will take.
I fully agree that without supervision they will do it again, however this is the 1st time in 4 months she has been at her Moms and prior to that was 6+ months, here they are monitored on the computer at all times so no more facebook (lol)

The mom wouldn't have to give them permission. Kids can do anything they want if no one is watching them. But, if in reality she isn't watching them well enough, they will just do it again and you are wasting your time.

If she wants she will open another one, or have a friend open one for her, I think a sort of compromise is in order, tell her she can have a facebook account with consensual rules, you must have access to it and be authorized (by her) to edit information or friends you do not approve of.

If you do not authorize her she will have a facebook account anyway and it will be of the most dangerous kind, the one you don't even know about.

I'm not sure how facebook takes care of it but myspace asked who you were to the accused child. If you click and say you are the parents you have to send a copy of the birth certificate to the myspace team and there were other options for whoever you said you were.

On facebook, it seems as if all you can do is report the page and with enough reports, the page is investigated.
