you mean "hashtag" I assume. It is something people on twitter use (which has seeped into popular culture) as way to categorize a post so people can look up related posts. On twitter it is preceded by a pound sign (#) which makes it a hyperlink. For example a tweet could be "Oh gosh this is gonna take hours #IHateHomework" and then "#IHateHomework" would be a clickable link that would take you to a list of tweets that people have attached to that hashtag.
