Question for those who have a bebo, facebook etc?

Why do you use social networking sites like Bebo, Myspace, Facebook to socialize and communicate with others instead of using the convential methods like physically going out and meeting the person?

distance. My children live in other states, so I like to keep up with them on facebook and myspace. I've also met and really appreciate long lost friends and relatives. I keep my "spaces" very clean, so I won't offend anyone. I really appreciate, celebrate, and love the opportunity to keep close to all my loved ones.

The people I socialize with on Facebook are dear friends that are very far away from me. It's great for finding out the little things that are going, celebrate with them from afar, and see pix of the kids, pets, vacations, etc without having to email them.
