How to get more twitter followers?

I recently created a twitter account, how can I get more followers?

Start following people suggested by twitter and you'll see some following back. But don't follow more than 200/day. Once you reached 2000 follow then twitter will not let you follow anymore. So start un-following some inactive followers. Do these for a few times and you'll see enough followers. But for professional following you'll have to learn a lot more of social media marketing. And then only you'll get some real converting followers.

There a re a couple of methods of getting twitter followers, some are more effective then others, but nevertheless:

- ask everybody you known to follow you.
- use social networks like facebook to earn even more followers
- follow people on random, some of them will follow back, make sure the ones you follow are also active
- use social exchange website that deals with twitter exchanges (most do) - this last option rocks because its simple, fast and free.
