I seriously don't get twitter?

what is "RT"?, what is #this mean?, why do people put @it like this?

I don't get the whole thing and how to use it. I just started!

RT = retweet. You are rewriting the entire "tweet" to those who follow you can see it too.

# = it's a hashtag. You can do search by hashtags. Trends are started that way. It's a way to place emphasis on a subject.

If you don't get it....then why don't you read the FAQ from Twitter, talk to others on Twitter and do searches about how it works, etc.

It really isn't' as complicated as you think.
