People adding you as your close friend on facebook?
If someone adds you as one of their close friends and they have it so they get texts when they get a notification, they'll get the text if I posted something right? I was just wondering because I put up a picture and its the middle of the night so i don't want to wake my friends just for posting a pic. Was that rude of me to do and will they even get the text if its just a notification from their close friend's posts?

In response to your initial question: Yes, that is correct.
When someone marks you as their "close friend", it enables them to receive a notification for each and every post you create on your own profile. They can also view all of your activity via the "Close Friends" link (to the left of the Facebook homepage, underneath the title "FRIENDS" in gray text). (This part is solely based on opinion) In response to your last question, I don't find it to be "rude" for you to post on your own Facebook. If anything, it's their fault for requesting Facebook notifications to their phone. If it annoys them, they can simply resolve the matter by removing Facebook texts and/or un-marking you as a "close friend". Ads |
