Is there a way of disabling a Facebook account but continue using chat?
I really want to disable or delete my Facebook account but would still love to have access to Facebook chat via Adium. Is there any way?

No there isn't. Facebook chat is part of Facebook. It's no different than asking if you can disable your AIM or Skype account but still continue to have access to chat.

Sorry, but no.

An active Facebook profile would be required to keep using Facebook chat. You don't even have to use it all, just make sure it's not disabled.

There is no way to disable facebook and still use the chat service as your active account is what is used to connect to the chat server.

No, that's not possible. You need an active FB account in order to use the chat feature. If you're concerned about privacy, check out your settings. They can be customized.
