How to block people from receiving notifications about my facebook?

One of the options of facebook is receiving a text message whenever someone gets an update. I don't want my friends to be able to receive texts when I update my status. Is there any way to block that?

No unfortunately not, if your friends like you status then therefore they will receive notifications concerning your status, You can tell your friends to unlike your status, then they will not receive any notifications about that status. Hope this helps.

the best way is to go into privacy settings and create a list of people you want on limited profile or people you want to keep as friends but don't want them to see your wall/updates.

go into privacy settings

you will see a heading: Control Your Default Privacy

next it will have 3 options public, friends, custom

go into custom and create your customized privacy setting that way
