How do you meet people on Facebook?

I want to
new people close to where I live who share common interests. Is there a way to search for people lime that?

Yea just search a bunch of names that are in your area and if theyre profile looks cool just message them and add them explaining you would like to meet new people.

recently on Facebook, they have removed the search facility whereby you can search for someone by their name and also by where they live (which is usually the nearest town or city).

I assume this is due to security reasons but if you only know someones first name and where they come from, you can't search for them anymore. I wish that they'd stop changing things.

However, the best way to meet people is through real life, not via the internet. Use the internet to search for local clubs and groups and go and meet people in person.

Yeah, sure. Check up Facebook Search site which allows to search all stuff on Facebook by writing keywords. Write your place name, interests etc... play with keywords.
