How do I become friends with a guy I like?

I like this boy. We are friends, but not super close friends. We say hi whenever we see eachother at school and sometimes chat on facebook, but it's never more than that. How do I become better friends with him? He is super friendly, so he always has a bunch of his guy and girl friends around him. How do I get to talk to him alone so that we can talk more?

Talk to him when you see him besides just saying hi be confident tell him that you want to talk to him alone for a while this will take time to get to know him then if things go well ask him out.
