What is the Facebook Error Check System?

I've just had a notification pop up on facebook linking me to the "facebook error check system" application saying that a friend of mine encountered an error while trying to view my profile.

My question is, is this a legitimate error message thing? Or just one of those annoying sneaky facebook applications? I'm hesitant to add any random applications that access all my info now because of all those terms and conditions issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's not legitimate, it's totally fake. Do NOT add the app.

This is a spyware....!
I also had the same problem, then I use google. Then I get to know about it. So do not add it.
