How do I get more friends on Facebook?

I only have 6.
Basically I added all my closest friends.
Btw, I made this Facebook yesterday.
I'm not to comfortable with adding people I'm acquaintances with.
Idk, I feel weird. I'd feel better if they added me but they probably don't know I have one or they just don't want to add me.
It sucks that you can't delete it.
What happens when you deactivate it?

when you sign up and fill in information like the school and go to or went to and the year you will get more friend suggestions

If you want to get more friends, Add celebrities. Mine are mostly celebrities like Mitchell Musso, Nick Jonas, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha. And try to find every friend/classmate you have. You will never know some of your classmates might b looking for more friends like you.

Both Facebook and MySpace allow you to keep in touch with old/existing friends, but also give you the opportunity to make totally new friends. I met my wife, 52, on MySpace two years ago.
If your preference is to add only people you actually know, you cannot really increase your friends list

when you deactivate it, its just like its deleted. untilyou reactivate it, then it comes back.. when its deactivated, its like you don't have an account, nobody can find you, see your pics, add you.. youre simply not there.
but whenever you want it back, its retrievable.

Just add them

Go to your friend's pages and look at their friends. if you deactivate, it is dormant. if you cancel, you cannot retrieve it.

You need to socialize with other people to get more friends instead of adding random people to your list. Adding them to your list doesn't help you become the social person on Facebook. It's like adding them to become a popular person for fake reasons.
