its like what is the meaning of retweet? y do have to retweet other ppl's tweet?

If somebody finds someones Tweet particularly funny, entertaining, relevant to the topic or any other reason they want all their followers to see it. It was put in so people wouldn't copy other people's Tweets and so that people with good Tweets can get more users seeing their Tweets and gain more followers.
