how do i cancel receiving notifications about someone on facebook?

for some reason i get a notification every time my ex girlfriend does anything, like status update or photos etc.it must have been something to do with the relationship thing, but my profile has been "single" for over a month. its getting annoying and i dont know why im still receiving these notifications. i looked in the notification edit page and i still cant find out why im getting these updates.

I get norifications everytime my close friends do anything and thats because i added them to my close friends list, thats what you probably did
Everyone now has a close friends list under your groups on your home page so click on your group and to the far left theres the members so then take her off of there...

click on settings and select hide updates

Uncheck notification from your facebook a/c setting .
