If I respond to a tweet from someone I follow but they don't follow me can they see it?

Any other tidbits of info would help me a lot.

Yes, lets say you want to tweet to Eva Longoria
when you're typing your tweet @evalongoria (insert comment here) she can see it, as well as your followers. Any tweet you make will show up on your time line as well as your followers time line. Regardless of if Eva Longoria follows you, she can still see and respond to the tweet.

Hashtags are when you are tweeting about topics.

for example: #justinbieber

whenever you tweet using a hashtag it becomes a hyperlink and your tweet is thrown into a group of other tweeters using the same hashtag/topic.

The hashtag can be used for anything. #imnew #cold #tired... the beauty of hashtags is you can tweet with the entire twitter community about anything, like a tv show.

example : #thebachelor

once you click on that hashtag you can see the entire twitter communties tweets about The Bachelor, just be sure when using has tags you use no spaces and no punctuation!
