Locate professional training for VOICEOVER. A good workshop will provide all of the info you'll need. Ads for this kind of training are listed in industry publications - try "Backstage West" - but be sure to check out several choices before you pay and try to go with the one that is the most well known or most reputable. It will then be up to you to perfect your skills and follow the suggested self-marketing plan to connect you with jobs in the industry. It's a lot of work. You will always be looking for the next job. But it IS possible.

Decades ago, if you were to get into the business of voice acting, you either had to be born in a studio, raised behind a microphone, or had a relative in the business (that, or be very, very persistent, not unlike today).
Now, if you have the passion, knowledge, skill and dedication you can get started and begin your own line of work as a voice actor. To do this, it is wise to make use of all of the resources available to you, and the great news is that the vast majority of them are free and easily found online. 1. Read Books About Voice Acting and Business in General http://www.amazon.com/Art-Voice-Acting-T...0240808924 2. Subscribe to Voice Over Industry Blogs http://blogs.voices.com/voxdaily 3. Listen to Voice Over Industry Podcasts http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/voice...d257930415 4. Follow What's Going On http://www.twitter.com/voicesdotcom 5. Join a Voice Over Community Online http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2364217548 6. Download Business and Training Resources http://www.scribd.com/doc/491233/Getting...oice-Overs 7. Watch Videos About Voice Acting http://www.youtube.com/user/voicesdotcom Hope you find this helpful. |
