why are people uncomfortable with people taking there pictures?

my friend feels uncomforarble when i take a picture of her, and i said why cant i? And she is dumb and thinks people can find out your bank number if you post a picture of your self on instagram, or have facebook or twitter, she does not like any picture takin of her, what do you think, why does she think that about social networks and why does she not like her picture takin by me?

You might think it dumb but your friend has a good instinct for safety .

Social networks can be very nasty and cause much distress.

Some people just don't like it. For a long time my one friend didn't want to be on Facebook because she was scared of her identity being stolen. At my university all the students had to have a student card with their face on it...the pics were also on the university network, some lecturers would look up the pics to see who each student was. I felt that was an invasion of my privacy.
