How do I change my profile photo on here? I I'm on my mobole?

There are currently problems and I am not even sure how the latest changes will affect using a mobile.

Your avatar can be a cartoon or a photo. You can also use your Facebook or Twitter avatar. For an animated gif you should make it your Twitter avatar first.

STEP 1.
Your profile is currently not hidden.
In order for your avatar to appear you must make your Yahoo Profile visible. That is done here:
http://profile.yahoo.com/y/settings/privacy/
There is no reason to hide your profile. Nothing appears unless you enter it and turn a switch on. The name can be anything you want.

STEP 2.
If you want to use your Facebook or Twitter avatar be sure to link the sites in the Profile options.

STEP 3.
To create a cartoon avatar first go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and create one.
[Note that due to a glitch (see step 4) you may want to export the cartoon to your computer, edit it, and then upload it as indicated in step 4.]

STEP 4.
Go to your Yahoo Profile at http://profile.yahoo.com
Click on your avatar.
Upload one or choose an existing one.
The same avatar is used throughout Yahoo.
[This is a change. You can no longer update the avatar directly from Yahoo Answers]
[There is currently a glitch. The cartoon avatar from step 3 is not appearing as a choice. Yahoo is making some changes and many avatars are not appearing. Be patient.]
