How to come out to your friends if they all seem homophobic?
So I am only out to family, cousins, relatives and to most close friends. But now I am in grad school and the group of people I am with seems really homophobic. I was wondering if it was worth sharing with orientation with them or just ignore it. Since we are all getting to know each other really well, I feel like I am cheating them by not opening up. I don't usually come out to people unless they ask, so i have no good skills to come out.

Also, is it a smart idea to come out via Facebook?

your sexual orientation is a part of you if they cant accept it then maybe theyre not true friends...friends are important in life but its the true close friends that matter. coming out is hard and takes alot of guts but when you do you feel better, relieved. if your friends have a problem with it just remember you have your true friends who still love you. coming out on facebook is ok i think depending on your friends it might be better to do it inperson but if youre afraid you could post something explaining everything like how youre gay and how its hard for you to just up and tell people..well i wish you luck hun and i hope everything goes ok

don't come out to people who seem homophobic, that girl at my school was lucky. i thought everyone would just leave her, but no, we all love her, otherwise, i wouldn't recommend it
