i certainly do not have that as my facebook status...maybe its a trend with your friends....

No, it's not just your area. It is to raise awareness for breast cancer. The last one was where females would post a color (of the bra they were wearing) and it made it to the news, so they started a new one. This one is you put 'I like it...' and fill in the ... with where you place your handbag/purse/bookbag, etc.
So for example, mine is currently "I like it on my desk" |

EVERY girl is saying it? I don't know what version of facebook you're using or where you are but they're certainly not saying it on my facebook.

They are telling you where they put their purses. It's supposed to be some stupid little inside joke game. If you remember, last year they were all putting their bra colors on their statuses. It's supposed to create breast cancer awareness. I think it's stupid to play this purse game to create breast cancer awareness. If we're all secretive about it, it really defeats the purpose. Quite frankly, I don't care where you put your purse when you get home. I do care that you remind yourselves, your sisters, your friends, your mothers, your grandmothers, your cousins and your aunts to make sure to get checked and be aware!!!
