Is it legal to hire a private detective to find my lost old friend ?
Im not interested in their romance or love life nor financial statue nor their secrets
All what I want is to find this friend, all what I need from the detective is to tell me " look they are in this place at this time , go talk to them" Nothing more nothing less! and NOTHING illegal!
Ive tried all websites, nothing worked!

First off you don't have to hire a private detective and spend all your money there's all kinds of websites that you can find lost friends. A very popular one is http://www.usa-people-search.com or if you went to school with them check if they joined classmates.com that one is free. You can try lots of other site's Google find lost friends.

Know what city your friend is in?

Go to library and use the phone book from that city.

Know names of his parents, siblings or other relatives?

Search for THEM on social sites like Facebook.
(I just did that and found friend from 30 years ago!)

Perfectly legal to hire PI to find your friend.
