My cousin is related to his cousin. My aunt an uncle are divorced and they were my real aunt and uncle. My aunt is related to my cousins cousin.

Generally speaking, you are not related to your cousins' cousins on the other side of the family. I came close.

My mom's brother, Uncle Don, married Aunt Marti when my mother was 12 years old.

My Aunt Marti's brother and my mother fancied one another. Had they gotten together, I would have been double-cousins with Uncle Don and Aunt Marti's sons, and related to all of Aunt Marti's relatives besides.

Luckily it didn't happen, although I really enjoy my cousins' cousins and talk to several of them more often on Facebook than I ever have talked to my actual cousins.
