If you go onto http://www.123people.com put in her name and the country you are looking for her in, lots of information will come up which is associated with that name, including social websites, electrol roll and online phone directories and newspaper articles the name is mentioned in, so it saves lots of time searching yourself for individual websites

Type her name into Google, or hire a PI to locate her.

You don't say which Country you are in nor how old your daughter is, i.e. over 18?
In the UK you can check the Electoral Roll - the published version is approx 80% complete.
Try http://www.411.com
For a small fee, the Salvation Army will search for relatives. Their web site is www2.salvationarmy.org.uk/family
I have found my own home e-mail address on http://www.123.com
You could try social networking sites, such as Facebook
You could try Friends Reunited (now a free site - she may be registered on there)
You can contact an Adoptions & Fostering Officer from Social Services - he/she will help you register that you "are willing to be found" - you may find that your daughter is already registered.
You can advertise on http://www.missing-you.net
You could send a letter to the local newspaper in the Town in which she was living last. Send it to "The Readers' Letters Column" and ask if anyone knows the current address of Jane Smith who lived at 1 The Cottages (or wherever)
You can try contacting neighbours in the road in which she lived and ask if anyone has a current address (I'm in touch at Christmas/birthdays with several people who have moved from the street in which I've lived since 1974)
If you are her Dad, you could try http://www.fathersreunited

How's that for starters?!
