How do I get more twitter followers?

I've been trying to make it big for so long. I only have one follower, and I need to know how to make more. Do you guys have any suggestions? Also if you want, I'll answer any questions (about anything) via my twitter, which is twitter.com/shitbesleysays . Anyway thanks for the help!

Hey, there are a few ways, if you google it youll find a few articles. I tried a few out for my personal business but it was too tedious and time consuming. A friend of mine suggested a social media marketing site called wantfans.com. They can get you 1000 or so followers in a week or so.

There site is currently under developement so just click contact and email them, im sure theyll be happy to assist you with what you need.

Follow other users that have common interests as you.
They will eventually follow back you.
Share quality links, advises, messages and give them value.
Do not spam or abuse. Be friendly, funny and interesting
Use short jokes, interesting pics to share, reply and retweet other users.

I would stay well away from any auto-following programs or similar black hat tactics. Remember the old adage: if it sounds too good to be true... it probably is. Apart from the fact that twitter can suspend your account for this kind of thing, why would you want loads of completely uninterested non-targetted followers?

Ways to get more twitter followers organically:

* Put links to your twitter profile on all your websites, blogs and social media platforms. If these get a good level of traffic a proportion will click through, read a few of your tweets and decide to follow.

* Post interesting, funny or helpful tweets. If people re-tweet them this will cause others to visit your profile and follow you.

* Find other users either through your friends followers list or the 'find people' feature. Send them a direct message, @reply, re-tweet them, add them to a public list or all of the above.
