How do I deal with what my boyfriend said?
My boyfriend and I IM on Facebook all the time. We are kind of official, but not really. Last night, he said he loved me. It was very shocking for me because we are only in 7th grade. I don't love him yet, but I don't want to hurt his feelings. Now he thinks that I am mad at him, but I am not. It just wasn't really what I expected to hear. How should I deal with this???

Just tell him "well I like you. But I don't love you yet. Don't take it the wrong way. I like you, but I don't think I love you yet." hope it helps U.U I know it won't though

Dude, i had the same problem in 9th grade, just tell him, that you dont love him YET. Tell him you still need to spend more time with him and you need to really make sure tha you love him. But keep in mind that what he said, he really had to workup the guts to say it..

Well, remember, there's a difference between loving someone and being IN LOVE. Loving someone is liking them and caring for them genuinely. So if you feel that way, you should tell him. But if you aren't comfortable with that, just let him know that you aren't ready to say it. If he really likes you (or "loves" you), he'll understand.

I kind of had that problem with my current boyfriend. We hadn't been dating very long, and he told me he was in love with me. I told him I did love him, but not like that. And, guess what? He really did love me. He told me that was perfectly fine, and that I could take as long as I wanted. He never brought it up again. Of course he still told me he loved me, and I told him I loved him too, but he was aware that I wasn't saying that I was in love. When I finally felt it, I was ready to tell him. He said he loved me, and I said, "I love you too. I mean, I really love you." He said, "Yeah. I love you too." I said, "No. I mean, I'm IN love with you." I'll never forget the look on his face when I said that. We've been together for eight months now, and are planning on marriage in about 3 or 4 years.

Trust me, you're doing the right thing by waiting until you feel it to say it. Saying that you have feelings that aren't really there never turns out for the better. If he gets mad and leaves you because of it, well, it might hurt now, but later, you'll be glad you didn't stick around.
