Try and log in, then request for a new password. That's if you can get onto your email. If not...make a new facebook profile.

Change the password!

Password: Reset
1. Just below the log in password on Facebook's sign in page is a link: 'Forgot your password?'
Click to a page containing 'Trouble Accessing Your Account?' Enter the distorted words presented in the CAPTCHA - this is used to prevent automated hacking attempts by "proving" that you're human. Enter the email address you use to log in to Facebook, or your mobile phone number as registered in your Facebook account, and press Continue.
2. Click Reset my password. Check your email - after a short time: Facebook password reset confirmation email. Copy the confirmation code from that email (eg:1089b2b8) and click either link to reset password. Paste the code into that last page, and click Submit.
3. Enter the new password, Confirm by re-typing, and click Change Password. Having confirmed that you are the rightful owner of the account, by having accessed the email associated with the account, Facebook now allows you to set your own new password.
** If you want to recover your existing password you simply might not be able to - I don't know if Reset Password would accept the old password; it did the last time I tried.
4. If you've had your browser remember the password for you, it might be frighteningly easy.
A. In Firefox, click on Tools, Options and then in the Security tab click on the Saved Passwords... button: This lists all the sites for which Firefox has saved your password. You can narrow it down by typing "Facebook" in the Search box there. Click on Show Passwords. After Confirm box, the Saved Passwords dialog box is updated with an extra column: the actual password, visible for all to see!
B. To recover MANY different stored passwords, use this source:

** NOTE: Security Issue - If you allow your browser to save passwords, anyone with access to your machine can perform the browser password recovery steps outlined above to discover what those passwords are! Make sure that your machine is secure. Password it. Lock it down!

You can see if someone else is logged in to your account. Then you can log them out before they do any damage. Go to Account>>Account Settings. Scroll down to Account Security and click the change link. This gives you several account security options. Check the Most Recent Activity section. It will show you current and recent account activity. You can quickly spot unfamiliar locations or gadgets that have logged in. That's a sign to change your password.
You can also disconnect an unauthorized session that's in progress. Click the End Activity link to log out the intruder. Then change your password.
Checking this area all the time can get annoying. But you can turn on Login Notifications. This lets you know if an unfamiliar gadget logs in. For example, it could be a computer you've never used before. Or it could be an unrecognized mobile gadget. Facebook will send you an e-mail to let you know. You can also opt to have Facebook send you a text. That means intruders can't sneak on without your knowledge. It's a handy way to keep your account secure.
In addition, Facebook now asks you for a computer name when you log in. Facebook will recognize the machine in the future. That makes it easier when you're checking recent activity on your account.

Last: account recovery. It is useful if you've been locked out of your account. Facebook lets you set phone numbers, alternate e-mail addresses and a security question. You can use any of these to recover your hacked account.
