How do I get to know my girlfriend's birthday without asking?

The month of my girlfriend's birthday is approaching and I seem to have forgotten the actual date. Asking her will definitely freak her out and she may think I am not being 'responsible'. Asking her closest friend is also out the question. I don't know what to do now because I want to make this day of hers a special and I don't also want to mistake. Yours answers and suggestions are welcomed because they will definitely help. Thank you in advance.

Lol talk her into making a facebook then see what bday she puts. Or just buy a gift on the 1st and wait for a day she is pissed off at you im sure thats the day of her bday and then you give her the gift and make it seem like you were kidding, But who keeps track of bdays anyway just be honest wit her dude, tell her "Damn baby my memory is bad, I know your bday is this month but i forgot the day." You can add a lil something extra (expensive gift) to make up for it.

The best thing to do is to be honest with your girlfriend, she may be annoyed at you but approaching her with a good introduction to your problem (of forgetting her birthday) explaining how your sorry and wish to make her birthday special will be better then trying to find the date of her birthday secretly. But if you do not have any confidence in approaching her some options are: Online profiles, invitations and posts/ birthday cards.

Please do carefully tell her you have forgotten the date as she will likely understand even though will display a unpleasant attitude.
