What are some careers in music?

I'm 20, i have no direction in my life. I really love music and i am trying to learn to play guitar but i just wanted to know what some other careers in music are just in case being in a band doesn't work out?

your 20 and your just starting to play guitar? and you wanna start a band? I've heard everything. Not to sound rude but, I'm 16 and I've been playing bass for almost 5 years now. I havnt gotten anywhere with music. Music is dead when you have screamo and dubstep. electronics killed the 6 string star, my friend.

hey im a producer and the best thing to do is go to college and get a degree in music and also other jobs like a music Lawer if some one song is stolen and remade on the radio u can tell the person thats that persons song and they will half 2 pay a settle ment you can be a music teacher are a school teacher I had several of em and since you wanna learn guitar its best if you learn this The First Stage Guitar Book and another thing you can be it a music promoter Promoters do just what their name suggests - they promoter live shows. But more than just promoting the show, promoters also organize shows and book bands. The basic duties of a promoter are to secure a venue for a show, promote the show via the media and via posters/flyers/etc in the local area, work with the band and agent to make sure all the show night needs are covered (PA system, lighting, etc), and when appropriate, promoters pay the band.

u can Be a DJ since you like music alot u can do like art of noise make alot of music and wait 4 a while and after a year rec videos of people skating and dancing thats how they gt a little popular

you can also do music Journalism and what you do is write stuff and put it in a magazinr about the artist its like tmz and such
