People are only going to follow you if you post interesting tweets. With me if I follow someone they usually follow me back.

you get people to follow you by posting interesting tweets or by posting humorous on topic tweets in the trending topics. Also using the @username1 to talk to someone will likely get that person to follow you as well. One other way is to follow users of popular users in hopes of them following you back.
If all that sounds like too much work you can use this software that automates it all and can even pull tweets from other users for you to post them yourself automatically! The software is a bit expensive ($127) but worth it if you plan on getting 2-3k+ followers in less than a couple weeks. Check out the software here (http://scrnch.me/e7g8v) |

Post informative, simple and interesting thing, links, pics etc people will start noticing you as well as try to follow back interesting persons over twitter. Don't care about useless follower even 50 good followers are much better then 1000 senseless/useless/ghost followers.

To get followers you need to get your tweets around twitter.
for example if you tweet 'hello' only your followers will see it. so what you have to do is put a hatch in front of it like #hello so when someone types hello into the search box then will see your tweet. so you need to put a # in front of things you think people will be searching for for example. going to the #gym later and then going to the cinema to watch # toy story 3. see ive just put gym, and toy story 3, so people will follow me if they have the same interests. also ive just followed you. |

Hi
Here's some ideas that might help: Don't send stupid tweets. No, really. Listen to me on this one. If you send 10 tweets a day about how you are going to the store, walking your dog and washing your hair, you will lose followers, period. Don't do it. It makes your tweets seem like a really boring reality show. Don't send excessive tweets, no matter what the topic. If you send endless tweets all day long, people will start avoiding your tweets and not read them. You want your followers to hang on your every word, not treat you like a phone call from your annoying Cousin Julie (You know, the one you roll your eyes at when you see her name pop up on Caller ID.)! 4. Send interesting tweets. Send tweets that no one else does. Send tweets that your followers love. 5. Let your list evolve naturally. Don't just add 1000 people in 2 days just because you can. It is far better and more productive to add smaller numbers and have more quality instead of thinking "bigger is better" - really. Having a large number of people you follow in a short time can be a red flag for people and the sign of a spammer. Hope that helps Take care Paul |
