what did danny gokey say about adam lambert?

i know he was being VERY MEAN, but what did he say and why was he mean?

Is this a recent thing or from the Idol days? I will assume Idol days and address this in my usual annoying long winded way: Gokey was not so much mean as very judgmental, he is very religious and so believes Adam to be a sinner while he is so freakin godly and he's one of those Christians that's gotta "save" everyone and so was just generally annoying to Adam. so they agreed to disagree on religion but Gokey has had publically at least nice things to say about adam

He was intense and competitive on the show, which is natural of course, but this did not compare well to Adam who everyone loved and insisted he was the not just the best singer but nicest guy, sweet supportive, etc, being the dude we know him to be, like helping the other contestants out. Kris did as well and he and Adam were very good friends along with Allison and so Gokey was just sort of the odd man out and seemed petty and selfish in comparison.

An ugly episode was that Danny's family came to visit and they all went out to dinner, Danny's family asked for autographs and pix and of course Adam was gracious enough to say yes. This was after pix of Adam had been released on the internet and Danny printed the one of Adam painted green and pulled this out at dinner and asked Adam to sign that for the family. Adam was not too happy but did it. Well Danny's cousin then posted on her facebook the pix of Adam posing with them and the signed green pix and put mean comments on there about him. then all their nice godly friends responded with comments about how gross he is, what a freak etc, the cousin (who has a nice smiling pic with adam) agrees and says Danny's father stayed far away from him the whole night.

her facebook was not locked and ppl saw the stuff and the fandom freaked, ppl transferred the anger and hate over to Danny and started posting about him and his family and were on twitter and I think Danny is a douche was a top trending topic then, LOL. Adam had to go on twitter and did a bubbletweet with danny to tell fans to calm down and stop freakin and he and danny were got along ok and so should the fans.

Interestingly, Michael Sarver was another nice christian boy who got on the show and initially in the Danny I'm holier than you corner. Adam's brother actually railled against him on a blog because he said insulting things to Adam, including lovely things like where he comes from a queer is either in the closet or he's dead. However, he went on tour with them and it is then that Michael really got to know Adam and found he really liked and admired Adam. He then decided that he shouldnt stand in judgement of ppl and be prejudiced but to learn to accept ppl as they are, he spoke about this quite a bit, it was very touching and he has been vocally supportive of Adam ever since

the link below is really really long but if you do not have the idol background, a great primer on those relationships, its a Kris / Kradam thing but mentions Danny in it and the person that did it is a Kris fan really not Adam fan and they elected him season douchebag too

So Danny probably is not a mean guy but was a little full of himself and did not come off well and it was soooo easy to make fun of him.
