How can I use twitter?
This may sound stupid but, I cant figure out how to post stuff other than on my "wall" or whatever that is.
How to post on like, #mymomhatesdeadspace2 stuff like that is what I meant. I wanted to enter the contest. I have no idea how to post something there though Sad

Twitter is for following and get followed by others. Its not for posting family pictures and stories.

Twitter doesn't have a wall. It's not like facebook or myspace. It's more of a chat box. You can edit your background and you can edit your picture that people see under your profile (the picture that's used to represent you) but that's all you can do as far as edits. And all that does it makes your tweet deck what you want to look at when you log in to twitter. Other people won't see it unless they choose to take a look at your profile.

The "What's happening" box is where you make comments. The people that see those comments are the people who are following you (your twitter friends). But there's no way to "post on #mymomhatesdeadspace2" because that's just a comment someone has made that they are trying to get it to appear in the trend section (bottom left hand corner) for searches by putting the # sign in front of it. For example: i might be talking about the Chicago bears losing so I might say something like this: "The #Chicago Bears lost today". I put the # sign in front of my comment so that if someone does a search on Chicago Bears they will find my comment. The main purpose of this feature is so that people doing searches will find you and then they may decide to follow you on twitter.
