Well, lets see. The internet is how to todays youth communicates. You have twitter, facebook, myspace, and other social networking sites. So information is instant. That can be bad, and good. Lets take the 2012 Mayan Calender thing. Years ago, youth would have only heard what their parents and pastors told them. Now they can connect with other people around the globe, getting different people's opinons, perspectives, etc. The people in China may believe something different than the people in Mexico. So having all of this information at your fingertips makes you able to see things differently. Your able to question more, think things through more, and have your own opinions rather than just the narrow view of what you would have been exposed to without the internet. Also, you can see things, trends, etc. from other countries, instantly! So your generation may be influences by something that catches on on Twitter or Myspace. That would influence your culture. In the past people were only exposed to a limited perspecitive. The youth of today are so much more diversified. Our grandparents would never have dreamed of chatting with someone from Japan, or Australia, or Canada. Todays youth dont think anything about it.
