What does the term "trending" mean in relation to MUSIC?
What does the term "trending" mean in relation to MUSIC? Is it a music genre? What kind of genre?

Trending means that its popular within the population lets say for example the song 'levels' by avicii it was an enormously popular song. Trending songs can be any genre at all as long as they are popular within the population.

If you think of twitter when something is 'trending' and you use the # it is the same thing in music its what people are talking about. For example today there was #TheoWalcott he was being talked about bcs he didnt renew his contract with arsenal. or im sure the other day there was #NeilArmstrong bcs he died and it was talked about a lot.
