Can someone tell me how to twitter? What are the steps to get started etc?

I love twitter well, where it says what happening , you could write anything you want there , and all your followers will see what you write , called a tweet . a follower is someone who follows you haha, pretty self explanatory , and they see everything you tweet a person you follow is the same thing but you see what they do, you can follow friends and x
celebrities . dm = direct message , private messaging. mentions = a tweet that was directed to you . ex.

most people just follow random people but i searched for a friend that i was sure was on twitter. u could do the same. ask a friend for his/her twitter name or u can search for twitter or "follow" on your facebook page in posts by friends. when you see a friend who you know, copy and paste his name from facebook to the search bar in twitter and look for him. click on follow and everything he writes will show up on your timeline from there on. you can also check the people he/she follows and if you know anyone of them, you can follow them also. some people lock their accounts but it just means that if u dont follow them, u cannot see what they tweets and you have to send them follow requests
fyi, you cannot chat on twitter (am sure you know that) you just see what is tweeted by the people you follow, the people that follow you can see what you tweet and you can reply to their tweets, and also retweet what someone tweets if u find it interesting. have fun there
you can also send direct messages to people who's conversations with you you dont want to make public. such person must be following you and you must be doing likewise
