Why are people so stupid?
Serious question. Why are they so stupid like sheep or cows. Look at the current TV shows, Music, social trends. Nobody is doing anything great to advance this race anymore. What the hell is going on? I feel like I'm im the only sane person left on earth. Our potential is massive but instead they care about how big the rims on their Escalade are or fake tanning until they are an orange monster.
Someone has to have the answer. My opinion is that the world is under some type of mind control. Those with some spark of intellect can resist it. Ads |

some people are doing something to advance things. we have a global network of millions of unsung scientific experts working dilligently to research interesting, relevant problems and communicating their findings with each other. It's a world so far removed from what people are exposed to in popular culture, the media, etc. but it's been going on for a long time and breaks new ground every single day. It is the only hope we have as it is the only thing that has ever really driven us forward as a species, and it grows at an exponential rate. Each new discovery yields multiple applications and enables further discoveries. Changes do not happen overnight, but they have happened and will continue to happen.
We're not all mindless, incompetent idiots, there are plenty of people around who have a brain in their heads and are putting it to good use, it's just that they rarely make the headlines. |

People have stopped caring about intellect, well the majority at least. The media is doing what Rome did to keep the peasants happy- opiating them. They show all the trash on TV because it's mindless entertainment. I mean, take a look at America, slowly our country is turning into a totalitarianistic government - red light cameras, Twitter being archived, Facebook being archived, Google selling your personal information. Did you know that the CIA is monitoring every computer? If you search for days on how to make a home made bomb and where to get the supplies that you will be taken into custody? US used to be one of the leaders in education, but we are falling behind. What you said about mind control is absolutely correct. The masses are being opiated into something that will keep us dumbed down so we can't over turn our government.
