schwarzkopf live colour xxl on black hair?

I have very dark brown hair but i want to dye it red using schwarzkopf live colour XXL in cool scarlet;; would the red take on my hair? does the dye contain peroxide?

Thanks for choosing LIVE Color XXL, Cool Scarlet is a gorgeous shade but the vibrancy of the final colour result will depend on the colour of your hair to begin with and the condition that it is in.
You say that your hair is very dark brown, which means that you may not be able to achieve the shade fo red that you are looking for with Cool Scarlet. The colour will take to your hair but will not be as vibrant as the picture on the box illustrates.

You can try performing a strand test to see how the colour will turn out. Simply mix one teaspoon of colour creme with one teaspoon of developer in a non-metallic container, such as a saucer. Apply this mixture to a discreet strand of your hair and allow to develop as described in the instruction leaflet. Afterwards, simply rinse off the dye to reveal the final shade result.

Alternatively, you could try the LIVE Color XXL Luminance range which is specifically designed to work on darker hair.
